1. Victoria Milan Review: Summary

Victoria Milan was founded with the intention of helping people who are stuck in a monotonous relationship add that spark back into their life. People who sign-up are mostly either searching for some harmless online flirting, a secret affair, or a full-fledged secret long-term relationship. Victoria Milan takes pride in keeping the experience 100% confidential, by offering features and settings to help conceal personal identity. While emphasis is put on infidelity, the site can still be used to hook-up unattached singles for fun, exciting, and passionate dating or relationships.

We HAD to know!

With 13 million members, the website obviously has to have something going for it. So, we set out to find what all the fuss is about. We put emphasis on testing the “safety and security” features which are supposed to conceal identity to keep actions and desires as private as possible – from both the public and your partner. What we found on the site was quite shocking – as the results from any dating website encouraging infidelity should be. Read on to find out how the website works, and whether or not it will really work for you.

Conclusion practical test: Members are impressively active. Although some profiles aren’t complete, members aren’t crazy attractive, and the free membership doesn’t let you do much of anything, active members means lots of room for success.
Conclusion functions and profiles: Features, functions, and profile customization options are seemingly endless on Victoria Milan. The only downfall is that members can’t get that great a feel for them with a free membership. The free membership definitely has room to improve.
Conclusion customer friendliness: The FAQ page isn’t too extensive, customer service could be a bit speedier and more professional, and the registration process takes a little longer than someone searching for a secret affair may hope.
Conclusion value for money: Victoria Milan’s pricing is pretty reasonable compared to other dating sites, not to mention the long list of extensive features (including ones for the sole purpose of keeping your identity secure), safety options, and customization features made available to you.

2. Victoria Milan South Africa Practical Test

Victoria Milan has grown at an exponential rate since being founded by CEO Mr. Sigmund Vedal in 2010. It originated in Norway, but has now expanded to be available in more than 30 countries including South Africa. With so much hype for Victoria Milan, we went straight to the website to see what all the fuss was about. It may not promote the best message in the world while encouraging people to be unfaithful for their partners, but in a sexless marriage, many people say it has been a lifesaver. You just need to decide whether it’s what you need in your life to get by right now.

The landing page draws you in…

Upon typing in Victoria Milan’s South African URL into the address bar, we were brought to a landing page that was all qualities of mysterious, thrilling, and professional. In the backdrop you see a large photo of two people caught in a passionate kiss, their faces half-concealed. In the foreground you see a circular, official looking decal that says the site is 100% confidential and anonymous. There is also a box which again says “DISCREET DATING FOR MARRIAGE AND ATTACHED” and gives you the option to sign-up starting with your gender and the type of relationship you are seeking.

Below here there are also certifications for Comodo Secure and McAfee, which is quite impressive and proves that the website means business. There was also an arrow we noticed later on, due to it being quite transparent on the page, which says “Scroll for more”. Upon clicking it we were brought to a bunch of articles highlighting the features of the website, which is probably quite helpful to new members just signing up. We think the arrow should have been made a little more defined though, since it was quite transparent and few new members probably read the articles.

The homepage isn’t quite as appealing…

Once sign-up was complete, we were brought to the homepage. We were very disappointed by the look and feel of it though, especially in contrast to the attractive landing page we were first brought to. The design is very drab and out dated, the font isn’t quite too appealing, and the page overall is just an eyesore. Regardless, we persevered to see if the site was capable of everything it said it was.

There were some annoying, unnecessary next steps…

In the top-left corner you can see a preview of your profile. We noticed after the lengthy sign-up procedure that it still said it was only 80% complete since we hadn’t filled out the “About You” and “Interests” boxes, but never in the sign-up process were we asked to fill it in. We still filled them in, but believe they’re unnecessary due to all the information you fill out during sign-up anyway.

Finding potential matches is easy!

When you scroll down on the homepage you can view a list of your potential, nearby matches. It shows them in thumbnail view, and gives information like their username, online status, age, location, and profile picture (which of course conceals their identity). Across the top of this section you can change which matches you view with filters like “New”, “Matches”, “Favourites”, “PrivateKeys”, and “Popular”, amongst many others. Profiles could be seen in larger view to the right, as these members had “boosted” their profile to receive more attention.

Find exactly what you’re looking for…

The home page’s top-right corner contain the search bar, where you can search for matches based on age, city, distance, when they were last online, and whether their photos are private or public. There are also advanced search options, which being a “Free Member” we realized we had no access to. This is a little silly – it’s only searching!

The free membership is a bit limited…

During our free membership we realized we weren’t allowed to do most things the site had to offer, including communicating with other members in any way, having our profile visible to other members, saving members in our favourites, or as mentioned, even using the advanced search bar. This was really disappointing, as we still wanted to test how active the members were. So, we ended up having to get the paid membership.

Our contact test had impressive results!

The contact test proved to have some very decent results. One downfall was that most available women were at least a half hour drive away, which isn’t exactly “local” as the website claims. Another downfall was that a lot of profiles weren’t quite up to par, lacking profile pictures and basic information. It’s important to remember that you have to have a realistic mind set towards meeting people on an affairs website – not all of them are going to be as attractive as the pictures may suggest!

Regardless, we ended up communicating with 100 women, and had 21 positive responses after a period of 30 days. This means that the site has a response rate of about 1/3, which is a lot more than a lot of other dating websites can vouch for! Although the website prides itself in being mostly European, we were quite impressed with the results of the contact test in South Africa.

Conclusion Victoria Milan South Africa Practical Test: The free membership doesn’t give you the opportunity to do much of anything, and some profiles aren’t exactly up to par, but the members are quite active, which is a lot more than other sites can say. Overall rating: Good!

3. Functions and profiles on Victoria Milan South Africa

Although Victoria Milan doesn’t make most of the features available to free members, they do have lots of them – and good ones at that.

Lots of ways to spread the love!

Communicating with members can be done in the form of winks, gifts, and messages. A wink simply shows someone that you’ve looked at their profile and are interested, which may entice them to look into your profile as well. A gift is a virtual picture you can send to someone to show you’re most definitely interested, and desire getting to know them better. A message allows you to talk and communicate freely with other members on the website.

Profiles are anonymous, but extensive

Profiles, although designed to conceal the identity of members, can still tell you a lot about someone. As mentioned above, a profile will tell you about their personality, what kind of relationship they’re looking for, what they look like, appearance wise and body wise, and what they’re personality is about as well. There are also two different sets of photos: public photos and private photos.

Public photos are viewable to anyone on the website, while private photos are only viewable by those who have been granted the permission to see them via a “key”. Unlike public photos, private photos are allowed to showcase nudity, which definitely makes the site a little more interesting. Victoria Milan also takes great pride in having only real profiles, thanks to their email and text verification. In addition, members are encouraged to report any profiles they believe to be fake, so that Victoria Milan can look into the issue.

No one will find out!

Victoria Milan states that their “main objective is to help you not get caught”, and there are a lot of features on the website to back that claim up. On Victoria Milan’s website, you will find a “Panic Button”, located in the top right of the screen. It was made for when someone intrudes on your online affair dating, as when you click it you’ll be taken to another webpage. In our experience, we were always redirected to the YouTube homepage.

Another feature to keep your affair secret is the Auto-Logout option. Say the spouse calls on you to do some house chores while your browsing Victoria Milan, and you forget to exit before getting up. Can you imagine the shock that would pursue if your spouse or kids then went to the computer to find what you were doing? The Auto-Logout feature was built for exactly this reason. After a certain time frame of inactivity, you will be automatically logged out and redirect you to another website.

Search bar was built to find your soul mate

Victoria Milan’s search bar will also help you find whatever it is your looking for, and very specifically. You can search everything down to level of fitness and whether or not they have a secret “love nest” with the advanced search settings. The profile booster also offers you great advantage to getting noticed, as long as you’re willing to pay for the premium membership. With the profile booster, your picture will appear bigger than the rest in search, meaning it’s much more possible to be noticed.

Summary of Functions and Profiles: Victoria Milan offers a broad range of quality functions and features to ensure your success on the website. We only wish free members were allowed to use more of them. Overall rating: Good!

4. User Friendliness Victoria Milan South Africa

On the landing page, we filled out that we were of male gender seeking a woman and clicked the big, bright, green button: “Try us FREE and Anonymous”. We were then redirected to a screen asking that we fill in a screen name, email, password, and date of birth. Right away, we were asked to verify our email before continuing with registration.

After doing so, we were then asked to enter our phone number so Victoria Milan could text us a unique code that would further verify our identity. While these extra steps were annoying, they are probably very valuable in the way that they keep a lot of fakes out of the website.

Setting up your profile will take a while…

After all of our verification was complete, we were asked to “edit our profile” by filling in our city, relationship status, whether we had a secret “love nest” (which is a meeting spot for casual encounters), phone number, the type of relationship we were looking for (you can choose anything from casual to long term).

After filling out these basics, we were then asked to fill in our height, weight, appearance (whether or not you’re attractive), body type, eye colour, hair colour, ethnicity, whether or not we had facial hair, whether or not we had tattoos, and what we thought our best feature was. While it’s quite important to list these about yourself since your pictures won’t be too descriptive, we did question the “appearance” feature since lots of people aren’t able to accurately answer that about themselves – many people either overestimate or underestimate how attractive they are, which can lead to disappointment once people meet in person.

A couple last steps…

After filling in these qualities, we were then asked to fill out elements about our lifestyle and personality, along with personality elements we find attractive about others. Finally, we were taken to the last step which required us to upload a photo and then choose whether we wanted it to be private, blurred, or with our face completely cut out. We favoured the blur feature, as it showed everything but our face by placing a filter over to fuzz features out. This way, people can get an idea of your appearance without having your identity revealed.

Be choosy of your picture…

We clicked “Save & Continue” and were told that our profile picture would be put up once it was reviewed by their team.  This is done because Victoria Milan doesn’t allow photos which are nude, of poor quality, of aggressive nature, contain weapons, are of a celebrity, have anyone else in them besides the person who signed up for the website, or can be traced back to a public social media page. We think this verification step is great as it keeps the website clean and private. It only took about 5 minutes for our photo to be approved as well.

The sign-up process took about a half hour, which is a lot of time to spend signing up for any dating website, especially when you’re under pressure of someone seeing and finding out what you’re up to. Since signing-up through Facebook isn’t possible and your identity is concealed, we do see the reasoning behind having to fill so much information out. We do feel, however, that some of it is unnecessary and could be taken out to make the process quicker and easier.

The feel of the site could be improved a bit…

The site is overall quite user-friendly. Everything is relatively easy to find and all the features are pretty easy to use and understand. We do think, however, that the site could have been made a little nicer to look at.

You don’t have to look too hard to find answers to your questions…

Victoria Milan answers any questions you may have quite easily. Answers to your questions can be found by clicking “Help” in the navigation bar in the top right corner. On the left of this page there is a box showing 13 FAQ, and on the right there is a contact form to fill out. We used the contact form, and a customer service rep had responded within 12 hours, which is an agreeable amount of time – not great, but decent.

The customer service reps were generally helpful in the emails they sent back. We do think, however, that the team at Victoria Milan could improve on their grammar and spelling a bit. The answers can off a little bit unprofessional and undereducated.

Subscription is renewed automatically

As default, Victoria Milan sets an automatic subscription renewal, which we think is a little bit annoying. It can be changed, however, by going into Settings > My Membership > Next Renewal > Edit > Cancel Recurring. If you wish to cancel your subscription while on an automatic renewal, be sure to do it 5 days before the next billing period begins.

Conclusion Customer Friendliness Victoria Milan South Africa: The registration process was a little lengthy, the FAQ page could be expanded on, and customer service could be a little bit speedier. In the end, we found our way around the site pretty easy and all questions were answered. Overall rating: Decent.

5. Is Victoria Milan South Africa worth the money?

Victoria Milan offers two types of memberships: free or Premium VIP. The Premium VIP membership allows you to chat with other members, use the advanced search tool, and get noticed with the ProfileBOOSTER. All these qualities are quite mandatory for success on the website.

Lots of different plans…

The longer you decide to stay on Victoria Milan, the bigger the discount you get. Victoria Milan offers 4 different plans:

  • 12 months: R 118,25 / month (total: 1.419 R)
  • 6 months: R 195 / month (total: 1.169,99 R)
  • 3 months: R 284 / month (total 851,99 R)
  • 1 month: R 354,99

Even the bill is anonymous…

In order to keep your affair secret, Victoria Milan will not appear in your bills under “Victoria Milan”, but rather under some other common, non-threatening name. The name Victoria Milan uses is also changed quite frequently, so your partner is less likely to become suspicious. The team at Victoria Milan really thought of absolutely everything in regards to keeping your doings and identity a secret….

Summary of Victoria Milan's prices and value in South Africa: Victoria Milan offers great features to keep both your identity and doings private while finding an affair. The features are extensive, customer service is decent, and pricing isn’t ridiculous. Overall rating: OK!
